How to: Use only part of an AutoFormat.
Solution:
Select 'AutoFormat...' from the 'Format' menu. Select the desired format, click 'Options', and clear the options not needed.
1) Select the range to be formatted.
2) Select the 'Format' menu and select 'AutoFormat...'. (The AutoFormat dialog box appears.)
3) Select the desired format from the 'Table Format' list box.

NOTE: After a format is selected, Excel displays a sample table with the selected format in the 'Sample' box.
4) Click 'Options'. (The dialog box expands to display formatting options.)
5) Clear the check boxes for the options that are not needed in the 'Formats to Apply' group.

NOTE: The changes in format only pertain to the selected range or table. The original format remains unchanged.
6) Click 'OK'.
